How to Organize Your Entire Life

This is the motherload of organization posts, y’all.  Seriously.  So much that it looks like we actually have our act together over here.  Ha!

Trying to clean and organize when you have kids really is like trying to brush your teeth while eating Oreos.  But the key, I’ve learned, to maintaining a clean and tidy house is by implementing a system.

Trust me, our house is not 100% spotless 24/7.  But when we do need to tackle the mess, our house can be totally clean in usually about an hour because we have a system down pat.

If you’re needing some direction to tame the hot mess, here are ALL of my best tips.  And I have a HUGE bundle of resources at the bottom of this post that will literally organize your entire life.

1. Dollar Store Bathroom Drawer Organization

Tip: Utilize the dollar store to inexpensively make space for every item in your drawers and cabinets.

2. The Most Frugal Way to Organize a Pantry

Tip:  Categorize items to make ingredients in your pantry easier to find.  Utilizing clear containers helps you see at a glance what you’re running low on too so that you can quickly add it to your shopping list.

Tip:  Vertical storage is great for tight spaces.  And by keeping items in plain sight, you save time when you’re looking for something.

Tip:  Labeling items makes it easier to find things when you’re in a rush, and they’re prettyyyyy!  Making spaces pretty when organizing always encourages me to keep it that way.

Tip:  Get furniture that doubles up on function with plenty of storage.  This coffee table organizes and hides DVDs and toys when not in use.

9. Crate Toy Storage

Tip:  Designate bins and shelves for toys to teach little ones where it all goes so they know how to pitch in.

10.  How to Digitally Preserve Photos and Videos

Tip:  Compile stacks of photos and old VHS tapes taking up valuable space into discs, flash drives, or printed books.  And in case of any natural disaster (heaven forbid), save backups online in the cloud.  They can then be shared with family near and far too!
