Spring Botanical Gallery Wall Printables

Shhhh!  I don’t want to say this too loud or I might jinx myself, but… SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!!! Oops.  Got carried away.

It got in the 70s here over the weekend and it was GLORIOOOOOOUS!  (I know you can’t hear me, but I’m singing opera-style over here.)

January and February are the two months of the year when I just want to hit the fast-forward button.  Gray, cold, dreary days? No thanks.  But since the flowers are already starting to bloom here in the Charlotte area, I knew it was time to bust out a new season of botanical gallery wall printables, the very last of the series.

(If you want the full year-long set, you can find the summer set here, autumn set here, and winter set here.  If you’re a subscriber, they’re all in the Bless’er House Printable Library.)

Today, I’m joining in with Krista from The Happy Housie and a group of blogger friends for the Seasonal Simplicity Spring Series to share some easy spring DIY/craft projects.  If the slightly warmer temps have you dancing around all giddy and make you ready to spring-ify your house too, there are a whole bunch of ideas at the end of this post.

I cheated really.  I’m not super duper crafty, but printables are my jam because I can just stick them in a frame and I’m done.  Easy and cheap.  Woot!

You can download the spring botanical print set yourself by clicking here or the button below to subscribe:

(If you’re already a subscriber, the direct download to the printable set is in your inbox and at the bottom of every email I send.)

I love being able to easily store the different seasonal sets for this gallery wall because all 4 seasons can stay in those frames.  Currently, I have my summer, autumn, and winter printable sets tucked behind that spring set right now, so I can now rotate throughout the year and get a new look every 3 months without having to spend any extra moolah.

To print them in the 16×20 sizes, I send my images to Staples to have them printed on color engineer prints for about $3 each. (But if you want to keep it easy, just printing 8×10 size right from your own printer works too.)

Print Directions:

  • Download the botanical prints from the Bless’er House Printable Library (password in your email).
  • Go to Staples.com
  • Click “shop services” -> “print services” -> “engineering prints” -> “18”x24″ -> “design now” -> “engineering prints in color”
  • Click “add files” and upload the botanical print images
  • Click “orientation” -> portrait
  • Click “add to cart” -> “proceed to checkout”
  • In the notes section on your order, write “do not scale to fit” to keep the image at 16″x20″ because sometimes Staples will do it even when you don’t specify.

I’ve had several people tell me that their local Staples won’t print these on engineering prints for some reason, but I’ve never had an issue, so it varies among locations, and I have no idea why.  Walgreens will print 16×20 poster size too, but unfortunately, they cost more than $3.  You can check with other locally-owned print shops too though.

You can choose to print them directly from your computer as 8x10s to put in 8×10 frames, or if you want large frames, you can mat the 8x10s.

So much technical mumbo jumbo, but I wanted to make sure to help any of y’all who might run into issues with getting the larger prints.  Totally worth the effort! I’m sure I’ll be using mine for years on end.

I put the prints in these frames I got on sale for $12 each at Michael’s last year.  They look like wood in person, but they are totally plastic (and they come in different colors).

This wagon bench, which we found on Craigslist for $35, (and I found a similar modern style version of here) sits right beside our back door that we’re constantly traipsing in and out of to enjoy the pretty weather on our back porch.

I snagged a couple of pastel pink pillows at Target last week to add a hint of spring to it.  And the baskets underneath are always filled with shoes after running around in the yard.

Here are some of the decor sources rounded up, if you need them.

So now that these spring prints are hanging on the wall, maybe the 70 degrees and sunshine will be here to stay?  A girl can hope.  My sandals are looking really lonely tucked away in my closet, and they are desperate to get out.
