A big thanks to Delta Faucet and Home Depot for partnering with me on this post. As always, all content and opinions are 100% my own.
Y’all. It’s way too often I find myself wishing I had an “[Insert skill here] for Dummies” handbook with me at all times.
What did we do before Google? And YouTube? If you’ve ever found inspiration on this blog, you can probably bet a whooooole lot of Googling happened to pull it off. (Like installing our train wreck concrete countertops that about gave me a heart attack. I still shudder thinking about that one.)
The other day, we finally ventured on a project in our master bathroom that we’ve been meaning to do since its big makeover. Last year, I gave our shower an industrial factory window style look (for waaaay cheap)…
…but it was still missing one much needed upgrade: Ye old showerhead.
I always have to remind myself that home wasn’t built in a day. We’ve gotten to the point where we can now upgrade the little things we’ve missed in our past room makeovers. But I’d finally had enough trying to clean this blasted shower with its itty bitty stationary showerhead.
Delta Faucet saved the day with this guy:
I honestly thought this showerhead was going to take a solid hour or two to install. Nope. 5 minutes. No joke.
My “contractor” was very serious about his job.
This hubs of mine is a total nutcase. DIY projects are never boring with him, I’ll tell ya that.
How to Install a Showerhead in 5 Minutes
Supplies used:
- Delta Faucet In2ition Two-In-One Showerhead
- Adjustable wrench
- Plumber’s tape
- Turn off the water and use the adjustable wrench to twist the old showerhead’s connector off of the faucet.
2. Remove showerhead. (That’s the most Captain Obvious step ever, isn’t it?)
3. Remove any old plumber’s tape from the faucet and wrap a couple of fresh strips of plumber’s tape around the end.
4. Twist the Delta In2ition showerhead into place with the adjustable wrench at the connector.
5. Screw on the hose piece to the hand shower piece and showerhead.
6. Clip the hand shower piece into the showerhead and wham bam done. No “Showerhead Installing for Dummies” handbook required.
And we didn’t have to pay a plumber and spend an afternoon waiting around to do it.
I’m actually excited to clean our shower now. Is that weird?
It has water-saving capabilities of H2Okinetic Technology to control speed, movement, and droplet size, so it actually feels like a rain shower but uses less water.
We’ve had it for nearly a week now and showers officially feel like a little spa escape… which this mama really really needs most days.
And I’m thinking now we need another one of these in our hallway bathroom to wrangle Olivia and Lola at bathtime. (That’s always an adventure.)
If you’re needing an upgrade too, Delta Faucet is giving away a free In2ition Showerhead to one of y’all. Just enter using the Rafflecopter widget below:
