This post is sponsored by Kirkland’s Desire to Inspire: Harvest Home Decor. As always, opinions are 100% honest and my own.
Last Saturday, I went to my first football game of the year. And it was at that game, sitting on the white hot bleachers in 95 degree sweltering heat that I decided… it was time to break up with summer.
We’ve had a good run, summer and I, but I love fall just a tiny bit more. It always seems like it’s at the very end of a season when I say, “This next one is my favorite.” But maybe that’s just because there’s something extra exciting about change.
Right after that football game, in my rebellion against summer, I celebrated by fallifying our mantel. (Fallify is totally a word. Don’t judge me. Wink wink.)
This year, Kirkland’s gave me some goodies from their Harvest line to play decorator with, and even though I’m usually a neutral loving gal, I felt like having fun with all of the gorgeous fall colors this time around.
Except, I couldn’t walk away from this neutral wheat wreath.
I’ve shared before how my favorite way to style our mantel is just by sticking to symmetry, and usually the easiest “filler” in the middle is by using seasonal florals, like this velvet pumpkin garland…
…along with these ivory ceramic pumpkins.
I’ve mentioned plenty of times before that Kirkland’s is one of my go-to spots for the budget decor stuff. They’re my favorite for finding inexpensive bathroom mirrors too.
I usually keep an eye out for a 20% off coupon in their mailers, and I use their spin-to-win app if I forget my coupon at home while I’m in the store. And I rack up K-Club points and redeem them every so often.
I use these cream lanterns year-round on tabletops and shelves all over our house, since they’re easy to fill with acorns or ornaments or flowers. I just used this pumpkin and pine cone bowl filler to add some color.
I like incorporating something with wood in every vignette, so this happy harvest sign worked perfectly for that. Add a vase of dried wheat and a few pumpkins and it fits right in.
For a little fall on our living room end table, I added these simple little blooms. How cute are those tags?
And our coffee table got some fall lovin’ with a pumpkin centerpiece for a little more color.
Have you broken up with summer yet? Or are you still clinging to it for just a teensy bit longer? Kirkland’s is giving away a $100 gift card so you can scoop up some harvest decor for yourself, if you’re ready to start “fallifying” too.
